We're getting away from our typical 4-hour show format for a night to join a dynamite soul-funk-and-hip-hop lineup at Goose Island Brew Pub.

Kong Fuzi will be preceded by Lowdown Brass Band (self-proclaimed horn nerds from DePaul). We'll be hitting it around 11p.m., and then closing out the night is 9-piece hip-hop jazz band Vertikal.

This show has all the ingredients to make this Friday the 13th a great night out in Wrigleyville. Damn, we love it when the booking folks get it right!
